Nurse Practicioner

Tracy L. Lee, AGPCNP-BC

Tracy Lee was born in Chicago and raised in Southern California, where her early experiences nurtured a lifelong love of learning and service. She attended the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications before moving to Southern Pines, North Carolina. There, she spent 13 years teaching and starting her family, deepening her commitment to community and education.

In 2015, Tracy relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina and embarked on a new path in healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and began her clinical career as a registered nurse in the cardiac ICU at Novant. Motivated to expand her scope of practice, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has since practiced as an Adult–Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Her dedication to advancing brain health led her to complete an AP Fellowship at the University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center in 2025. Her fellowship focused on the testing, diagnosis, treatment, and management of cognitive impairment and dementia. Tracy is deeply grateful for the exceptional training she received from cognitive neurologists and nurse practitioners whose expertise shaped her clinical approach and strengthened her passion for this specialty.

Tracy is excited to pursue new ownership of Shipyard Medical Center alongside her partners, Dr. Timothy Murphy and Nurse Practitioner Kate Tildes. Tracy is dedicated to providing compassionate geriatric care with a strong emphasis on cognitive impairment and dementia. Together, they are committed to providing high-quality primary care in the community. She currently divides her time between Kansas City, Kansas, where her parents live, and Wilmington, North Carolina, where she lives with her husband and daughter.

Outside of her professional life, Tracy is an avid reader, enjoys gaming with her daughter, and is happily learning gardening and nature watching with her husband.
