A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination is a federally required medical evaluation for commercial motor vehicle drivers.
The purpose of this exam is to ensure drivers are physically, mentally, and medically qualified to safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with regulations established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
